Here are some amazing tricks to cut down on sugar from http://www.emergencyemail.org
Read Labels
This may be the best advice I can give you. Almost every type of processed food you can buy in a supermarket contains added sugar. What makes things worse is that some products may have multiple different kinds of sugar. Staying away from processed foods entirely is your best option, but if that’s not possible, be sure to read every label so you know what you’re putting into your body.
Drink Water
You’re far more likely to snack on foods with added sugar when your body thinks you’re hungry. Unfortunately, when you’re thirsty, your brain still sends hunger signals, which can lead to mindless snacking. Drink water all throughout the day and not only will the hunger fade, but you’ll be able to tell when you’re actually hungry and won’t get added sugars from convenience snacks.
Get More Sleep
Think about how you feel when you’re tired. You likely look for a quick way to give yourself energy. One of the easiest ways to do that is to consume sugary foods. You can avoid these feelings of tiredness by getting more sleep.
If you have trouble getting enough sleep at night, try setting a schedule and stick to it. Set a time that you have to be in bed and then turn off all electronics, including the television, tablets, and cell phones. By getting enough sleep, you won’t be as reliant on sugary substances to get you through the day.
Replace Sugary Snacks With Whole Foods
The best way to avoid snacks with added sugar is to avoid buying them in the first place. Instead, replace them with foods that are naturally sweet. There’s a reason that fruit is known as nature’s candy. It’s because it tastes sweet like candy, but is much better for you to eat.
Eating fruits like bananas, apples, and strawberries give you many vitamins and minerals, but it’s also the best way to satisfy the sweet tooth that just won’t leave you alone.
Stop Eating Ketchup
The amount of added sugar that is put into ketchup is mind-blowing, yet it is the number one condiment used in America today. Instead of dipping your fries in ketchup, try using salsa instead. Salsa gives you the tangy taste you’re looking for without all the sugar you don’t need.
From obesity to health issues, there’s an endless number of reasons you should stop eating added sugar. Hopefully, some of these tips will help you break free from the grips of sugar and lead you into a healthier lifestyle.
Looking for a smooth, creamy, crunchy, filling snack? Look no further than your frig for a Greek nonfat yogurt filled with fruit in the bottom, 120 calories. Now reach for a box of reduced fat buttery round crackers, Five crackers only 70 calories Then use the crackers to dip into the yogurt. Don’t forget to stir the yogurt so you can have fruit in every dip. 190 calories, now that’s a not guilty snack.
Your time at home can be very rewarding or it can mean up to a few numbers up on your scale. Watching your weight while around the house can be very strategic, so often we will go for whatever we can get our hands on very quick. Watching the calories in what we eat should be with purpose. The purpose of staying healthy by keeping our weight down, and the only way this can be done is by watching what we eat.
Only when we have fear of gaining weight, the confidence of doing something about it comes. But it’s really about the fight we began when we start to take control of our health. Taking control of our health is done one step at a time.
This how I started: By eating smaller portions of not so healthy snack foods with a big portion of food that is healthy.
Here is something you may want to try: take 2 red delicious apples 70 calories = 140 calories, peel them or if you prefer the skins, put them in a blender, then get about 4 large marshmallows- the white soft candy, 100 calories, cut them up, put in the blender, then blend.
Put it in your favorite bowl, then drink water, it helps to fill you up and here you have a nutritious snack that is filling. You could just eat the one apple and marshmallows bite by bite, but the secret is eating enough to fill you up, so you will need two apples. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

PART 1
When it comes to prayer even men in the bible prayed for a sudden need after Jesus solely gave instructions, in Matthew 6:5-13, Where and how you should pray. He said; do not stand in the church or on the streets praying so you can be seen by men. Go into the room where you pray, close the door then pray to your Farther and you will receive a reward for your secret prayers openly. Don’t pray the same thing over and over to have a huge quantity of words, because your Father knows what your needs are before you ask. So, Jesus said, “This is how you should pray:
Our Farther which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
I really do believe that each and every single prayer we could pray is between the walls of the Lord’s Prayer. As He has said, He knows what we have needed of before we ask him.
1 Kings 8:45
“Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.” This is part of Solomon’s prayer as he stood in front of the assembly with his hands stretched toward heaven. He asked the Lord to hear the prayer of the people when they go to war.
Nehemiah 11:17
“And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.” These levites were among the people to be residents in the Holy city of Jerusalem and they prayed prayers of thankgiving. It is always the right thing to do when you are thanking God for rebuilding the walls in your life.
Psalms 4:1
“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.” Here David is asking God to, relieve him from his distress, have mercy, to hear his prayer when he prays and give him an answer.
Psalms 55:1
“Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.” David asks God to hear his prayer and don’t ignore him. When we pray this prayer we have deep concerns that God is not listening and won’t give us an answer, but He always hear us and answer according to his will. He as our shepherd is always there for us.
Isaiah 56:7
“Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” God promises salvation for the foreigners who will serve Him, love His name, worship Him, keep the Sabbath, and His covenant. Then they will all have joy in his house of prayer. Even as foreigner means people from another country, I believe that He could be talking to the Gentiles as well. Just my opinion. But I know He goes the extra mile to keep peace in our lives.
Matthew 17:19-21
19 “Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, “Why could not we cast him out?”
20 “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
21 “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” The more we communicate with the Messiah we will know to do as He does and say what He says.
Matthew 21:22
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” He said that your prayer can be life changing, that if you will only believe, when you pray, you can have what you ask. This is a promise that only he can fulfill.
Luke 6:12
“And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” I’ve never prayed all night unto God. Jesus knew he needed the answer from God the Father to choose the twelve disciples. Father God knew how important each disciple would be to Jesus, to be obedient in the things of God.
Romans 12:10-14
10 “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;”
11 “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;”
12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”
13 “Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.”
14 “Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.” Here He is pleading to us to love one another. It’s His prayer that loving each other will help us to recognize the love God has for us.
1 Corinthians 7:3-7
3 “Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.”
4 “The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.”
5 “Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.”
6 “But I speak this by permission, [and] not of commandment.”
7 “For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.” The husband and wife should be sanctified to each other.
1 Peter 3:7
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” He’s saying that if husbands don’t treat their wives with respect that this would be a sure way for their prayers to be hindered. Because the wives are the weaker partner, but a gracious gift that He has given.
Colossians 4:2-6
2 “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;”
3 “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds.”
4 “That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.”
5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time”
6 “Let you’re your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” He instructs us be devoted to praying, being watchful and always thankful. Pray for other ministries. Use wisdom when you are dealing with those that don’t have as much as you do. Talk to them with grace and seasoned with the word of God, so that you will have an answer for everyone.
While we are praying
John 14:12-16
12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
13 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
14 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”
John 15:7-8
7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
8 “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”
Communicating in prayer with God the Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ brings us a much better reward than we could ever ask or think. We will definitely find out who he is in every area of our lives. Because we can trust God to know exactly why we asked for what we asked. In Matthew 7:7-8, as we pray, faith will come, He says ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened. He’s the Creator that rule over all creation and He uses us to pray in His Sons’ name Jesus.
